Italian Cooking Holidays in Tuscany

We have chosen a delightful corner of Tuscany to be the bases for our new Cooking Holidays in the Tuscan region. Lucca and the surrounding area is a delightful, yet still relatively unspoilt part of Tuscany. Flavours cookery course in Tuscany is based at the peaceful and picturesque, Villa Segalato.

Flavours Cookery Course in Tuscany is based in Lucca

We hold two types of courses at the Villa, short breaks, which are 4 days/3 nights as well as week long cooking courses 8 days/7 nights, for those of you who want to spending a little more time in a Tuscan kitchen.

Short Breaks - 4 days/3 nights

Our short break, 4 days/3 nights, cooking holidays in Tuscany are £899 per person with no single supplement which is always a bonus for the single traveller. The Tuscany course runs during the months of March, April, May and October, further details of which can be found in our dates and prices section.

During your stay with us in Villa Segalato, you'll have 3 cookery lessons with our chef Simone, but remember, 'Cookings Just the Half of It' - we also have some other treats in store for our guests, such as a tutored wine tasting. Our Tuscan Itinerary is brimming with all things Italian...

Weeklong Cooking Courses - 8 days/7 nights

New in 2009 are our week long courses in Tuscany. We found that many of our guests, while they loved our short break cooking courses in Tuscany, wanted to stay longer and learn more. So, for 2009 we have added 4 week long courses in Villa Segelato, which includes an itinerary of 5 cookery lessons, a private wine tasting and a full days visit to the beautiful city of Florence.

For those of you who are solo travellers, you'll be happy to know that our Tuscan weeklong cookery courses have no single supplement and are £1,599 per person. If you're interested in a week in Tuscany, then please see our dates and prices section where you can check availablity.

The City of Lucca

Lucca, ideal for Tuscan cooking holidays, is charming - the city never really feels touristy, enclosed by it's own walls which have now been turned into an elegant 12 m high garden, perfect for a passeggiata. Almost completely closed off to traffic, the city centre has a cosmopolitan air, the cobbled streets are ideal to stroll around and window shop, you just need to watch out for the locals (Lucchese) on their bicycles (usually with a mobile phone to their ear!)

On our Cookery Courses in Tuscany you get to enjoy beautiful views of the Tuscan region

Lucca is surrounded by the Apuan Alps, dramatic backdrop of rolling countryside, vineyards, rivers and charming towns such as the spa town Bagni di Lucca, as well as must see towns of Barga and Garfagnana.

If all this talk of Tuscany is making your mouth water, then why not visit out our recipe section and indulge in a traditional Tuscan dish tonight...
