Our venue in Bologna is a family owned Palazzo, approximately twenty five minutes from Bologna itself. The former stables have been converted to offer comfortable bedrooms for guests, all with en-suite facilities.

If you truly want to have a relaxing and quite get away, surrounded by the beautiful and peaceful Italian countryside, then our villa in the Emilia-Romagna region is the place for you. Palazzo Minelli is a hisotrically protected building and has a beautiful rustic feel to it with wooden beams, stone floors and whitewashed walls.
Palazzo Minelli is situated away from the hustle and bussel and sits quietly on the flat planes of the region, encircled by a 15th century wall lined with trees. The buildings of the Palazzo were constructed between 1400 and 1700 and the extensive grounds house a charming 17th century family chapel. And in 1975, the Italian director, Pupi Avait, used the setting of the Palazzo Minelli as the backdrop for one of his films.
The bedrooms are decorated with period features which lend to the richness of the atmosphere. Each one is individual and furnished with period furniture. Beds are of wrought iron or wood, the bathrooms are large with showers and natural light.
The kitchen, which was formerly the laundry, has been converted for our use. While retaining a traditional "cucina" feel with a large open fire and marble-top tables, the kitchen has an old fashioned rustic feel to it and so is the perfect environment for making fresh tagliatelle!

To enjoy the peaceful and charming atmosphere that Palazzo Minelli evokes, why not wander around the grounds and the surrounding area or alternative enjoy a quiet bike ride.
We have gotten some wonderful feedback from guests who have stayed with us at Palazzo Minelli. Heres what Sarah H had to say about her holiday with us in June 2008:
“I had a fab time last weekend in Bologna on my ‘Flavours Holiday’. The weather, the food and Palazzo Minelli were wonderful as was Simone who showed patience and flexibility with regards to our cooking lessons...He is clearly a passionate chef and instilled that passion and his enthusiasm in us. The balance of cooking, free time and excursions was just right, and as a single traveler on this trip, this enabled me to get to know my fellow guests much more easily in very comfortable surroundings. I am sure this won’t be the last time I take a holiday with you.”
