Cooking In:Tuscany (4 Days)

The holiday will start on: 20th Oct 2012

And will end on: 23rd Oct 2012

Cooking lessons are relaxed, fun and hands-on. They take place in the kitchen of the villa, with everyone working in a group with the chef. As we only take small groups everyone can really get involved.

Tuscan fare is simple but hearty and bursting with flavour: from ribollita, a hearty vegetable stew to chunky Tuscan bread soup and rustic pasta dishes such as pici, a thick spaghetti with wild boar or rabbit sauce.

For a break from the kitchen, you can explore the higgledy-piggledy charms of San Gimignano, the low-key walled elegance of Lucca or meander Florence's winding streets.  Saunter beside the sultry river Arno, dipping into incense-filled churches or wanter around the bustling Sant' Ambrogio market before tucking into a classic bistecca alla fiorentina, a chargrilled T-bone steak washed down with a good Chianti in a lively neighbourhood trattoria.

"The setting in the superb Tuscany hillside together with the fine weather was perfect. It was truly an experience that I will never forget. Simone was the perfect host and...works extremely hard to keep the correct balance between work and leisure and co-ordinates the experience very smoothly." ~ Lewis J
