Salsa al Gorgonzola (Gorgonzola Sauce)


Having pasta or gnocchi for dinner? Then why not dress it up with this Italian recipe...if you're a fan of Gorgonzola, then you're sure to love this! Feeling extra adventurous? Then why not try making your own gnocchi from scratch...


Ingredients
- Enough Orchietti or Gnocchi for 6 – 8 people
- 200ml Double Cream
- 400g Gorgonzola
- 100g gently toasted Pine Nuts or chopped Walnuts
- 2 ripe Pears


Instructions

  • Gently heat the cream until warm
  • Crumble in the gorgonzola and stir until melted – do not allow to boil
  • Add in the pine nuts or walnuts
  • Cook the pasta or gnocchi, drain and add to the sauce

To Serve
Divide between serving dishes and grate the peeled pear onto the pasta
