How to get to Rome in Italy

If you're wondering how to get to Rome then the answer is easy - on a Flavours Italian cooking holiday we do the hard work for you and organise your flights from the UK (and all transfers on arrival in Italy).

Our Cooking Courses in Rome are held at Villa Rome which overlooks Bracciano Lake

Villa Roma is just 30 minutes from Rome by car, 25 minutes from Fiumicino airport and 60 minutes from Ciampino airport. Trains every 30 minutes will take you from Bracciano Train Station to San Pietro (yes, San Peter’s Cathedral) station in just 50 minutes.

Flights to Rome

There are two airports in Rome the closest of which to our villa is the airport at Fumincino. There are direct flights to this airport from:

  • London Gatwick with British Airways
  • London Heathrow with Alitalia
  • Manchester with Jet2

The second airport in Rome is Ciampino, which the following airports fly directly to:

  • Bristol with Easyjet
  • East Midlands with Ryanair
  • Glasgow Prestwick with Ryanair
  • Liverpool with RyanAir
  • London Gatwick with Easyjet
  • London Stansted with Ryanair
