During your stay with us in Ravenna you will get the chance to wander through the pretty village of Dozza, enjoy the culinary delights at a food market in Bologna as well as visit a local wine farmer at his vineyard where you'll learn all about the art of wine making...

Saturday
On your arrival at Bologna airport, we will transfer you to the Ravenna Villa, where you will receive a light snack and meet the rest of the Flavours team and other guests. Once you have settled into your accommodation and had time to recuperate from your journey, we will meet for a traditional Italian dinner which will be presented and prepared by our chef (a small taster of what you will learn in the week ahead). During dinner we will give you a small presentation on the foods and wines of Emilia Romagna, the history of the area and a broader outlook on the week’s program.
Sunday
After a traditional Italian breakfast of home made pastries and cakes we invite you to meet Terresa, a local from the village of Dozza. Terresa will show you how to make the famous little pasta parcels called Tortellini. In the afternoon we will stroll through the small village of Dozza, here you can enjoy the tradition of the many murals painted on the houses that line the 2 main cobbled streets. We will also visit a Enoteca (wine cellar) where you have the opportunity to taste and purchase some of the local wines as well as meeting Marco, the owner of a small Osteria who is a keen wine enthusiast.
Monday
Today we invite you to see and experience the colorful and vibrant food market of Bologna. Learn to do market shopping like an Italian! Our local guide will show you some interesting places around Bologna such as the seven Churches of Saint Stefano and much more. Enjoy lunch at a local Osteria. In the afternoon you will have some free time to do some shopping. Meet for dinner with the group and enjoy an interesting presentation on Italian desserts and fruits.
Tuesday
Meet Ricardo a well known chef from a Bologna Restaurant. He will have you in awe, showing you how to make a simple, easy and very impressive meal in an instant! The afternoon you have to yourself. However, those that would like to do some shopping may visit the local Retail Outlet Centre. There are several clothing stores and two great kitchen shops where you can buy all the gadgets you need for making pasta. In the evening, we meet a local wine farmer at his vineyard where he will explain every step of wine making and we also get to enjoy some local nibbles and taste the local wines.
Wednesday
Today you have the opportunity to do a ‘hands on’ cooking lesson with Susanna. You will be shown how to make and present a real traditional Italian feast. Only local and the freshest produce are used and you will learn the beauty of Italian cooking. In the afternoon we take you on a guided tour around one of the most beautiful cities on the Adriatic Coast, Ravenna. See the famous mosaics in a Byzantine Church and the grave of Dante. For dinner we meet at quaint Restaurant near Ravenna, where you can enjoy a traditional meal of the area made by ‘Mama’ herself.
Thursday
Meet Susanna for another fun filled morning of cooking. A few Italian cooking secrets could be revealed! Enjoy the results of your mornings cooking for lunch. In the afternoon Susanna will show you how to make a liqueur and you have the rest of the afternoon to yourself to relax or if you are really enthusiastic Susanna could share some more cooking ideas with you.
Friday
Today, Susanna will show you how to make a few dishes of ‘Aperitivo’s’ as well as other meals and desserts in preparation for the evenings dinner, ‘feast at the fiesta’, where you will meet a few local Italians. In the afternoon, you have the opportunity for a brief shopping outing to the local town of Imola. Here you can purchase real Parmesan Cheese, Balsamic Vinegars and Salami’s at one of the many local Delicatessen. Enjoy your final evening meeting a few locals and tasting the dishes you have made during the day.

After breakfast we will arrange for transportation back to the airport
