Your Host and Chef in Rome

Giada
Your Flavours host at our cookery school in Rome is 31 year old Giada, who thinks of herself as a free spirit. Before joining the team at Flavours, Giada worked in the tourism arena for the last 4 years. She is an expert in tourism web marketing, but finally decided she wanted to change the direction of her career and get away from just sitting behind a PC.
Giada explains:
“So far, it's been a completely unique experience! I love been able to take guests into our real culture and not just giving them a prefabricated tour with no real Italian taste. Romans are famous all around the world because we love enjoying life, food, wine. I am here to share all of this with you, and I am so lucky because we’ll do all this in a beautiful environment, among uncontaminated nature and together with real Italian people.”

Domenico
Your chef at Villa Rome is 30 year old Domenico who is passionate about food and cooking. He says:
“As a little boy I used to hang around when Mamma was cooking and when she left the kitchen I used to play and invent my own recipes.”
He learnt many of his secrets from one of his best friends, who works for the Gambero Rosso, and they both frequently work together on important cooking assignments in Rome.
Domenico says:
“I love going to the market and getting the freshest goods, as ingredients are the most important thing when cooking. Then you also need the passion, and here in Rome, passion is not a problem at all.”
