Our Taster Week gives you the chance to get a glimpse into our painting, Pilates, and photography holidays. Set in the stunning beachside village Elie, on Scotland’s driest and sunniest coast, you’ll be able to relax and enjoy your Flavours experience. Our small-group accommodation is in West House, a large immaculately renovated 17th-century customs house with seven en-suite bedrooms. Overflowing with charm, artworks and sea and sky views – it’s a lovely setting, and a perfect spot to try out some new hobbies!

Holiday Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Edinburgh. Collection Edinburgh Waverley station at 2 pm or Edinburgh airport at 3pm Transfer to Elie for welcome drinks and dinner.

Day 2

After Scottish breakfast, you will meet our photography tutor. We welcome total beginners on this taster week. our tutor will give top tips for taking better photos whether you’re using a swanky SLR or just your mobile phone. In this small group, everyone will get plenty of help, whatever their experience. We’ll be out exploring beautiful compact Elie and its sea views, with lunch and dinner back at West House.

Day 3

After breakfast, we will explore the wonders of Fife with a coastal walk and then return to West House for lunch. After lunch our driver will pick us up and we will visit  St Andrews, a historic and attractive coastal town famed for being the home of golf and setting for Chariots of Fire. There’ll be time at leisure to explore, and then we return to West House for dinner.

Day 4

After breakfast, meet your painting tutor and enjoy a painting day. Again, we welcome absolute beginners or those seeking to get back into the joy of painting. It’s a stunning setting to capture in paint. Lunch and dinner at West House.

Day 5

After breakfast, we’ll venture out on a Fife foodie tour, starting at a local cheese producer, then lunch at local fish restuarant and finished off with a visit to Kingsbarns with both whisky and gin tasting!  We’ll eat throughout the day, returning to West House for dinner.

Day 6

Morning at leisure, where you can spend time developing your new skills in painting or photography. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. The afternoon is yours to explore more of Elie and the Fife coast. Dinner will be at West House.

Day 7

After breakfast, you will enjoy your one to one Pilates session with your instructor suitable for everyone (even if you’ve never tried it before). Lunch at West House, afternoon is yours to wander along the beach and capture those last moments in Elie. Final dinner at West House.

Day 8

After breakfast , your driver will pick you up at 10am to return to Edinburgh
