Our Taster Week gives you the chance to get a glimpse into our painting, cooking, and photography holidays. Set in the stunning beachside village Elie, on Scotland’s driest and sunniest coast, you’ll be able to relax and enjoy your Flavours experience. Our small-group accommodation is in West House, a large immaculately renovated 17th-century customs house with seven en-suite bedrooms. Overflowing with charm, artworks and sea and sky views – it’s a lovely setting, and a perfect spot to try out some new hobbies!

Holiday Itinerary

Day 1 - Group transfer to West Lodge

Arrive in Edinburgh. Collection Edinburgh Waverley station at 2 pm or Edinburgh airport at 3pm Transfer to Elie for welcome drinks and dinner.

Day 2 - Spend the morning exploring the Fife coastal walk with an afternoon in St Andrews

After breakfast, we will explore the wonders of Fife with a coastal walk and then return to West House for lunch. After lunch our driver will pick us up and we will visit St Andrews, a historic and attractive coastal town famed for being the home of golf and setting for Chariots of Fire. There’ll be time at leisure to explore, and then we return to West House for dinner.

Day 3 - Enjoy a day painting

After breakfast, meet your painting tutor and enjoy a painting day. Again, we welcome absolute beginners or those seeking to get back into the joy of painting. It’s a stunning setting to capture in paint. Lunch and dinner at West House.

Day 4 - Visit to Cambo Gardens and Gin Tasting

After breakfast, we’ll venture out to the beautiful Cambo estate to explore the grounds enjoy lunch at their cafe using the best of loca produce and finishing off with a visit to Kingsbarns for some gin tasting! Returning to West House for dinner.

Day 5 - Morning to yourself with lunch at a local restaurant. Free after noon to explore the area.

Morning at leisure, where you can spend time developing your new skills in painting or photography. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. The afternoon is yours, to explore more of Elie and the Fife coast. Dinner will be
at West House

Day 6 - Hand-on cooking lesson, followed by eating the results. Free afternoon with a special farewell dinner

After breakfast, you will enjoy a hands-on cooking lesson with your chef and enjoy the results for lunch. The afternoon is yours to wander along the beach and capture those last moments in Elie.

Day 7 - Free day, enjoying and exploring Elie and West House. This evening there will be a special farewell dinner at West House.

After breakfast, you will enjoy your final full day in Elie Lunch at West House, afternoon is yours to wander along the beach and capture those last moments in Elie. Final dinner at West House.
