Fàilte gu Aberfeldy! You will arrive at your luxurious Highland lodge where you can settle in, meet your host and chef and enjoy a traditional afternoon tea with welcome drinks. You then have time to explore the lodge and the stunning surrounding 5.5 acres of land. Join your fellow guests for pre dinner drinks and a traditional Scottish dinner this evening at the lodge.
After breakfast, you will head into Aberfeldy, a small market town famous for being mentioned in the poem The Birks Of Aberfeldy by Robert Burns. You will enjoy a wander round this quaint town and your host will show you the best spots to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Not to mention a visit to a local gallery, bookshop and the famous Glen Lyon artisan coffee roaster. Lunch will be at the lodge and then you will start your first cooking demo with your chef and will prepare dinner for this evening in the lodge.
After breakfast our driver will pick you up and you will go on a foodie trail of Perthshire. We make our way to Dunkeld to visit the Dunkeld Smoked salmon this small local producer dry cure the salmon in salt and smoke it over whisky oak barrels. There are lots of local produce to sample in this town. We finish off our foodie tour with a visit to the Aran bakery run by runner up of the Great British bake off. Back to the lodge for lunch prepared by your chef. After lunch you will have your cooking demo with your chef using the produce from your foodie trail. Dinner will be at lodge this evening.
After breakfast, we will make your way to a local Highland chocolate producer who forages the local area for new tastes and combinations. Then its back to the lodge for your last cooking demo. Lunch will be at the lodge. Later in the afternoon, you will be enjoying a whisky tasting at a local distillery and then you will enjoy a Scottish-style farewell dinner. Slàinte!
After breakfast, you have time for one last wander round the grounds of the lodge and any last minute packing before our drivers come to collect you and take you back to Edinburgh Airport or Edinburgh Waverley station. Haste ye back!
