Holiday Itinerary
Day 1 - Welcome to the Veneto
Arrive at Venice Marco Polo Airport, where you will be met and transferred to Vanessa’s beautiful home near Treviso.
Settle into your surroundings, meet Claudia, your photography tutor, and your fellow Amici guests, and enjoy a delicious welcome dinner together.
Day 2 - Photography at the Villa
After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy your first photography session with Claudia in the beautiful surroundings of Vanessa’s home.
Whether you’re using your iPhone or a camera, discover how to make the most of natural light, composition and creative techniques to capture beautiful photographs.
There will be plenty of opportunities for individual guidance, time to experiment and the chance to relax and enjoy the slower pace of Italian life.
Day 3 - Beautiful Bassano del Grappa
Our photography excursion today takes us to Bassano del Grappa, a picturesque town set beside the River Brenta, with the mountains providing a beautiful backdrop.
Famous for its historic wooden bridge, the Ponte degli Alpini, Bassano is filled with colourful buildings, charming streets and wonderful river views.
Claudia will help you capture the town’s distinctive architecture, textures and reflections before we enjoy a leisurely lunch in a local restaurant.
There will be time to explore further and discover some of Bassano’s hidden photographic treasures.
Day 4 - A Creative Day at the Villa
Enjoy a relaxed day developing your photography skills in the beautiful surroundings of Vanessa’s home.
With guidance from Claudia, explore new techniques, experiment with different perspectives and learn how to get more from your iPhone or camera.
There will be plenty of time for individual guidance, reviewing your photographs and putting your new skills into practice.
Day 5 - Treviso's Colourful Market & Lunch
Today we visit the charming town of Treviso, often described as a miniature Venice, with its pretty canals, elegant squares and lively local atmosphere.
Saturday is market day, providing a wonderful opportunity to capture the colours, characters and everyday moments of Italian life.
Wander through the bustling market and historic streets with Claudia, learning techniques for street photography, composition and capturing movement.
After a morning of photography, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch together in a local restaurant before returning to the villa.
Day 6 - The Magic of Venice
Today is a highlight of our week as we discover one of the world’s most beautiful and photogenic cities.
From its iconic canals and magnificent architecture to quiet backstreets, colourful doorways and atmospheric bridges, Venice is a photographer’s dream.
With guidance from Claudia, you’ll learn to capture the city’s extraordinary light, beautiful reflections and fascinating details.
We’ll wander beyond the busiest tourist areas to discover some of Venice’s quieter corners, stopping for a delicious Italian lunch along the way.
A wonderful day of photography in a truly unforgettable setting.
Day 7 - Photography, Relaxation & Farewell Dinner
Enjoy your final full day at Vanessa’s beautiful home, with time to put the finishing touches to your photography skills and capture a few last images of the Veneto.
Claudia will be on hand to help you review your favourite photographs, share ideas and offer tips to continue developing your photography when you return home.
There will also be time to relax and enjoy the company of your fellow Amici guests.
In the evening, we’ll come together for a special farewell dinner at the villa, celebrating a wonderful week of photography, delicious Italian food and happy memories.
Day 8 - Arrivederci Italia!
After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to Vanessa and your fellow Amici guests before transferring to Venice Marco Polo Airport for your flight home.
You’ll leave with new photography skills, wonderful memories and a beautiful collection of photographs from your week in the Veneto.
There will also be time to relax and enjoy the company of your fellow Amici guests.
In the evening, we’ll come together for a special farewell dinner at the villa, celebrating a wonderful week of photography, delicious Italian food and happy memories.
Getting There
Fly into Venice Marco Polo Airport, direct from Edinburgh to Venice with Ryanair to meet the pick up at 3pm, returning to villa for 9.30 am or Manchester to Venice, Bristol to Venice with Easyjet.
