Situated in the heart of rural Salento the venue was originally a hunting lodge built in the 17th Century for a local count, the estate is now used exclusively by Flavours for just a few weeks a year. The style is a stunning mix of traditional and modern with wonderful formal gardens and a swimming pool – the perfect spot to relax after a busy morning in the kitchen. When you learn to cook in Puglia you have to indulge in the fantastic local wines and we will organise a private tutored wine tasting at Castel I Salve winery so you can really appreciate them. There is also a guided tour of Lecce, visits to a local market and to local artisan producers including a cheesemaker. We always make sure there is a lot of free time to explore unspoilt Salento too. You’ll come home with recipes for broadbean and chicory mash and fantastic mussel, rice and potato bake and hopefully a couple of duty free bottles of your favourite local wine!
