Cooking Holiday in Umbria - Itinerary


Day 1

Benvenuti! Welcome to Umbria! You will arrive at the villa where you can settle in, meet your chef and host and enjoy welcome drinks. Dinner this evening is at the villa, prepared by your chef.


Day 2

This morning after breakfast, you have your first hands-on cookery lesson followed by lunch. In the afternoon we will visit Castiglione del Lago where you can find the Palazzo Ducale built in 1563, a royal palace that hosted Leonardo da Vinci. We will wander around this charming town, enjoy an apertivo and return to the villa for dinner prepared for you by your chef.


Day 3

After breakfast, you will have your second cookery lesson this morning before enjoying your own dishes for lunch. In the afternoon, visit a local winery for a private wine tasting and return to the villa, where your chef will prepare dinner.


Day 4

After breakfast, we will visit Perugia, where you can enjoy the wonders of the Fontana Maggiore, one of the most popular fountains in Italy not to mention the stunning  Cattedrale di S.Lorenzo and the Palazzo dei Priori where there is the national gallery of Umbria. Lunch will be at a local Trattoria. Return to the villa in the afternoon, where dinner will be prepared for you by your chef.


Day 5

This morning you will be in the kitchen for another cookery lesson and then lunch. The afternoon is yours to relax by the pool and enjoy the villa. Dinner tonight is at the villa.


Day 6

This morning is your fourth cookery lesson, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit the beautiful hilltop town of Cortona. Take in the stunning views across the valley before wandering the ancient streets and browsing the art galleries and local shops. Dinner will be in one of our favourite family-owned restaurants.


Day 7

This morning you’ll have your final cookery lesson, followed by lunch. Your afternoon is free to relax in the stunning grounds of the villa. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner with your fellow guests.


Day 8

After breakfast, you’ll have some time to pack before our driver takes you on our group transfer back to Perugia Airport for your flight home. Arrivederci!
