Villa Maria
is located on its own private estate in the countryside outside of the
city of Florence. Florence is known for its importance in the Middle
Ages and in the Renaissance, especially in art and architecture.
Florence is often considered the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance;
in fact, it has been called the Athens of the Middle Ages. The historic
centre of Florence was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982
and is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in the world[.

Villa Toscana
Our second location is at Villa Toscana which is based in the hills overlooking the city of Lucca. Lucca itself is charming - the city never really feels touristy, enclosed by its own walls which have now been turned into an elegant 12 m high garden, perfect for a passeggiata. Almost completely closed off to traffic, the city centre has a cosmopolitan air - the cobbled streets are ideal to stroll around and window shop.
