Travel Sales Consultant

Reports to

Head of Customer Experience

The Role

To build relationships with new and existing Flavours Holidays guests, and to provide guidance and assistance with their holiday bookings from inquiry through to feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outgoing sales calls in line with company targets and current business focus
  • Respond to guest emails
  • Answer incoming calls
  • Make bookings for holidays
  • Process payments
  • Regularly and accurately update the CRM system with guest notes
  • Review new brochure requests and make first contact with guests
  • Review and respond to positive guest feedback
  • Assist with selling events for Amici members
  • Attend events for Amici members when requested
  • Review and escalate negative guest feedback to the Head of Customer Experience
  • Attend weekly sales meetings
  • Attend regular sales training sessions

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • A good broad education up to A-level.
  • Ideally a graduate with either a business or travel and tourism qualification
  • Min 2-3 years travel industry experience, ideally within a Product team
  • Experience of working with digital systems/apps an advantage
  • Commercially driven with excellent negotiation skills
  • Fun, friendly, and caring with lots of positive energy
  • Well-travelled and a love of the outdoors essential
  • A people person – with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to write good inspirational copy
  • Creative and innovative
  • Must be numerate, have great attention to detail, and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Flexible and willing to muck-in
  • Able to travel both in the UK and overseas for work

Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Previous experience in a travel or tourism environment
  • Previous experience working with guests within our age demographic (50+)
  • Previous experience of dealing with a CRM
