This new four-day cookery break will teach you how to create some of the island’s traditional recipes while also learning new techniques and skills to add to your repertoire.
You will be staying in a typical 19th-century Sicilian villa which has an outdoor swimming pool and is surrounded by almond and olive trees. Your cooking lessons with an expert local chef will be held in the villa’s huge kitchen and include authentic Sicilian dishes such as pasta con le sarde from Palermo, arancini and cassata. You will also enjoy day trips to historic sights such as the Baroque towns of Noto and Ragusa. Plus, there is no single supplement to pay, so this is a great gourmet break whether you are travelling solo or with family and friends.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive, welcome drinks and dinner -
You’ll be met at Catania Airport and privately transferred to the villa, where you’ll enjoy welcome drinks, meet the rest of the group and eat a delicious meal prepared by the local chef.

Day 2 - Modica -
After breakfast, you’ll have your first cooking lesson, then after lunch you’ll enjoy a private sightseeing tour (fans of the TV series Inspector Montalbano will enjoy following in his footsteps to Noto and Scicli), going to a local seaside town like Marzamemi or Punta Secca. You’ll also visit the UNESCO-listed Baroque town of Modica for chocolate tasting, then return to the villa for dinner.

Day 3 - Relax in the villa -
You’ll enjoy a full day in the villa with a cooking lesson, lunch and relaxing afternoon. Why not take a dip or read a book by the outdoor swimming pool, surrounded by olive and almond trees?

Day 4 - Farewell Sicily -
After today’s breakfast, you’ll depart for Catania airport to catch your return flight home.
