It is the informality of this exclusive food tour that makes it so special, with small groups of no more than 10 for the hands-on classes that take place in the villa itself, and plenty of time to explore the canals, bacari and hidden corners of one of the great European cities, as well as tucking into the best of Venice’s food and wine. You will be staying throughout your trip at the historic Villa Domenica, which dates back to 1611 and is set in beautiful grounds with a sculpture garden, tennis court and swimming pool.
During your two cookery courses you will learn to cook perfect pasta dishes and other local recipes – such as sarde in saor and tiramisu – under the watchful eye of the chefs, who will also cook your evening meals. There will be ample time and opportunity to explore Venice, too – where you can marvel at the Basilica San Marco, take in the Rialto local markets and enjoy lunch in a typical bacaro – and to sample some of the region’s best wine tastings, including an exclusive tasting of the finest authentic prosecco from a nearby vineyard.

Day 1 - Arrive, welcome drinks and dinner
Benvenuti! Welcome to Venice. When your flight lands at Venice Marco Polo you will be transferred to the villa to settle in and enjoy welcome drinks. This evening, dinner will be served at the villa, prepared especially by your chef and cooking tutor.
Day 2 - Cooking lesson & Prosecco tasting
After breakfast, you will begin cookery classes with your chef – then feast on the results for lunch. This afternoon, the group will head to a nearby vineyard for a tasting of traditional Prosecco. Afterwards you will return to the villa for dinner, prepared for you by your chef.
Day 3 - A day in Venice
After breakfast you will be transferred to Venice for a day exploring at your leisure. This stunning city boasts a wealth of incredible architecture and breathtaking views – and there’s always something new to see, whether this is your first or your fifth visit.
Enjoy lunch at a typical Bacaro in the heart of the city, as recommended by your chef. Later this afternoon, you will return to Villa Domenico for dinner.
Day 4 - Your second cooking lesson
After breakfast, you will be cooking in the kitchen for your second lesson with your Italian chef, followed by lunch. This afternoon you will be transferred to Venice airport for your flight back to the UK.
