Italian Cooking Short Breaks in Sicily
Our short break cookery courses in Sicily give you the chance to discover the fascinating region of Sicily. Spend 4 days in the south-east of the island, learning to cook traditional Sicilian dishes and exploring historic towns such as Siracusa and Modica.
Nicknamed “God’s kitchen”, Sicily’s cuisine reflects its history – a melting pot of cultures after many invasions by the Greeks, the Byzantines and the Spanish (to name a few!) Much like the rest of Italy, Sicilian cooking is based on seasonal and locally grown ingredients ,with many of their centuries-old recipes using ingredients such as seafood, citrus, pistachios and ricotta.
Another exceptional holiday. Another wonderful experience. Can't recommend Flavours enough.

Villa Accommodation
Both our villas in Sicily are built in a typical Sicilian style and chosen because of their location with beautiful views of the surrounding areas. You will be spending your Cooking Short break in one of these amazing villas.
Villa Carrubo is located in the southeast of Sicily, which is known for its stunning baroque architecture. Carrubo boasts a magnificent kitchen perfect for any budding chef to learn the art of Sicilian cooking. With its elegant stone building, it benefits from a stunning swimming pool with Jacuzzi water massage and various patio terraces with stunning views.
Villa Aragonese is an antique fishing tower, placed in the heart of the rural region of Modica on the Bizantin plateaus of the Ibleis. Rich with family history and authentic character that has preserved this beloved tower from past ages, the villa is marked by characteristic “dry” stone walls (muri a siccu). Featuring views of the sea and surrounding environment, visitors can indulge in a corner of Sicily bursting with art, history, landscapes, and nature.
