Where better to paint than the Amalfi Coast? With a sketchbook, easels and boards provided, all of the big details are taken care of for you, and Flavours will provide you with a handy list of painting materials to bring with you for your trip.

All have extensive outdoor terraces, perfect for painting lessons and long lunches al fresco, and spacious pools and sunbathing areas. Whether picking lemons directly from the lemon groves in the grounds of the villa, relaxing by the pool, or enjoying an aperitivo on the clifftop terraces, our Amalfi villas offer the perfect spot for a week of seaside relaxation. Day 1 (Saturday)
Group transfer to the villa.
Our Flavours transfer will meet you at Naples Airport and take you to the villa where you can settle in, meet your teacher and chef and enjoy welcome drinks. The afternoon is yours to relax by the pool or explore the cliff top passages around the villa. Dinner this evening is at the villa, prepared by your chef.
Day 2 (Sunday)
Your first painting session, an introduction to watercolour techniques.
This morning you have your first sketching and painting session with your teacher. In order to draw, the artist must “see” and your teacher will get you “seeing” and drawing with some practical exercises in beautiful surroundings! The session will be followed by lunch prepared by your chef. The afternoon is yours to continue sketching and painting, or to relax by the pool. Dinner is prepared for you at the villa.
Day 3 (Monday)
Day trip to Amalfi for sketching.
Following breakfast this morning, we’ll leave for Amalfi, a charming city and the oldest Marine Republic of Italy. The day is yours to enjoy however you wish, with lunch at our favourite local restaurant. Later this afternoon we’ll return to the villa for dinner.
Day 4 (Tuesday)
Spend the day painting and sketching at the villa.
Following breakfast, you’ll have another painting lesson with your tutor. The afternoon is free to relax at the villa or paint at leisure. Dinner will be prepared for you at the villa.
Day 5 (Wednesday)
A morning of painting followed by an afternoon visit to Ravello.
This morning after breakfast, you will develop your watercolour and drawing skills in another painting session with your teacher. Later in the afternoon, we will visit the stunning hilltop town of Ravello, where you can wander along the terraces at the edges of the town for incredible views of the Amalfi coastline. Return to the villa for dinner this evening.
Day 6 (Thursday)
Morning at the villa followed by boat trip to Positano.
After breakfast, you’ll have some more time drawing and painting at the villa with your teacher, followed by lunch. Later this afternoon, we will take the ‘traghetto’ boat from Amalfi to Positano, where you’ll have a chance to explore and sketch this charming town. Dinner tonight will be in our favourite local trattoria.
Day 7 (Friday)
A final day of painting and relaxation at the villa.
Today is your final day of drawing and painting, with time to finish off your works and relax at the villa. Later this evening, we’ll have an exhibition of your art work to the group, followed by a special farewell dinner prepared by your chef.
Day 8 (Saturday)
Group transfer to Naples airport after breakfast.
After breakfast, our transfer will take you back to Naples Airport for your onward journey.

There are direct flights to Naples Airport from Edinburgh and the London airports, with a number of other regional flights available.
